Toyota has given its Corolla and the Camry a refresh for the 2021 model year — sort of. It could be a case of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” but for 2021, the Japanese automaker decided to change almost nothing except a few body panels, some wheels, and its special edition offerings. Let’s take a look.
Corolla’s getting a new “Apex Edition” trim, which adds a few performance upgrades to the otherwise sedate sedan.
The suspension has been made stiffer to reduce roll, and the new 18-inch wheels have been made 2.2 pounds lighter. A new cat-back exhaust is noticeably more sporty, and all-season tires are still standard, while summer tires are an option.
Despite this being a ‘track edition,’ the Corolla has the same power as the base model, which is to say 169 horsepower and 151 lb.-ft. torque from a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder.
At least Toyota is brave enough to offer a manual transmission, though it also says it will only build 120 Apex Editions with row-your-own gears, so you better hope Toyota Red Tag days come soon.
The Camry is in its 37th year, Tmpgenc Authoring Works 6 Crack Keygen and it’s come a long way from its humble beginnings as a lowly four-door sedan. While the looks haven’t changed much since the last model year, it’s what’s on the inside that counts for the 2021 model.
Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is now available on every trim. The infotainment screen is now a 7.0-inch unit, while a 9.0-inch unit is available. Android Auto is also now standard for all models.
There are some exterior upgrades, however. SE and XSE models get a new honeycomb grille design, as well as a bumper adjustment (no, not that kind of Camry bumper adjustment). New 17-inch wheels are standard, while XLE trims get a new 18-inch design.
Powertrain options remain the same, and all engines make the same amount of power as before, even the hybrid version.
